Town of Farragut

Board of Mayor & Aldermen — Budget season

The body's budget & taxes decisions, grouped into the annual fiscal-year arc — proposal, amendments, and adoption, in the order they happened. Items are identified mechanically by the neutral budget & taxes topic — the fiscal instrument itself (the annual budget, the tax rate, appropriations), never every motion that happens to spend money.

How the years are grouped. A decision is placed in the fiscal year in which its meeting was held. Town of Farragut runs a July 1 – June 30 fiscal year, named for the year it ends — so FY 2026 runs July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. This groups the record; it makes no claim about which budget any single motion “belongs to.”

Excludes 7 motions not yet published. Contested and deferred votes publish only after review, so a year's arc can run short until the queue clears.

How this is built. Budget decisions are the published motions carrying the neutral budget & taxes topic, grouped by the fiscal year of the meeting they were decided in. Dollar figures are copied verbatim from the motion text and summed only across adopted motions — a deferred or failed motion approved no money. These are approved amounts in motions, not the county budget document or actual outlays. See spending approved and Methodology.
