Approve contract with Dr. Sharon Burnside for mental health care for incarcerated population.
CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF KNOX COUNTY, TENNESSEE, APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH DR. SHARON BURNSIDE IN THE ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $89,440.00 TO PERFORM THE SERVICES OF A LICENSE PSYCHIATRIST AND ASSUME THE OVERALL MANAGEMENT OF THE MENTAL HEALTH CARE FOR THE INCARCERATED POPULATION AT THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES FOR A ONE (1) YEAR TERM BEGINNING FEBRUARY 1, 2024 AND ENDING JANUARY 31, 2025 WITH TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ANNUAL RENEWALS FOR A TOTAL OF THREE (3) YEARS

Motion to approve Resolution R-24-1-301 - Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving a contract with Dr. Sharon Burnside in the annual amount of $89,440.00 to perform the services of a license psychiatrist and assume the overall management of the Mental Health Care for the incarcerated population at the Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facilities for a one (1) year term beginning February 1, 2024 and ending January 31, 2025 with two (2) additional annual renewals for a total of three (3) years.
