Amend agenda to add resolutions for George Ewart and Nikki Giovanni
AMENDMENTS TO THE AGENDA: Commissioner Jay moved to amend the agenda to add the following items: Item #8 – Resolution R-24-12-111 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, reappointing George Ewart to the Knox County Board of Construction Appeals. (Term expires December 31, 2031); and Resolution R-24-12-103 – Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, recognizing Nikki Giovanni for her contributions to literature and her roots in Knoxville, Tennessee. Commissioner Durrett seconded the motion and upon roll call vote Commissioners Rawls, Durrett, Oster, Jackson, Russell, Hill, Lee, Thompson, Fox, Jay, and Frazier voted aye. The motion carried 11-0-0-0.
On December 16, 2024, the Knox County, TN Board of Commissioners adopted “Amend agenda to add resolutions for George Ewart and Nikki Giovanni” by a vote of 11–0.
