Request TN General Assembly allow Trustees to retain excess tax sale proceeds for relief.
CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF KNOX COUNTY, TENNESSEE, REQUESTING THE 114TH SESSION OF THE TENNESSEE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO ALLOW COUNTY TRUSTEES TO RETAIN UP TO TEN PERCENT (10%) OF ANY ABANDONED EXCESS PROCEEDS FROM DELINQUENT TAX SALES TO BE USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR PROVIDING TAX RELIEF FOR ELDERLY LOW-INCOME, DISABLED, DISABLED VETERAN AND VETERAN WIDOW/WIDOWER HOMEOWNERS.
