Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving an amendment to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Employees’ Merit System Rules and Regulations, Subsection 3.1.b.6. Structure and Qualifications, to provide for members of the Merit System Board to be eligible to serve if he/she has not previously been employed by the Sheriff’s Office within the five (5) years instead of ten (10) years preceding his/her appointment and to remove the requirement that a person is not eligible to serve on the Merit System Board if any member of the person’s family is or becomes employed by the Knoxville Police Department
