On March 23, 2026, the Knox County, TN Board of Commissioners adopted “Amend agenda to add 13 items, one presentation, and one proclamation.” by a vote of 11–0.

Motion to amend the agenda to add the following items: Item #16 - Resolution R-26-3-403 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving a real property agreement of sale with Connie and Daniel Gard for 4,200 square feet of surplus right of way at 0 and 3304 Lobetti Road in the amount of $500.00; Item #17 - Resolution R-26-3-404 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving a construction contract in the amount of $278,752.00 with Stansell Electric Company, Inc. for the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Lovell Road (State Route 131) and Gilbert Drive; Item #18 - Resolution R-26-3-405 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving the necessary right-of-way and temporary construction easement acquisitions on three (3) tracts for the Bakertown Road and Joe Hinton Road realignment project; Item #19 - Resolution R-26-3-406 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving the necessary right-of-way acquisitions on three (3) tracts for the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Schaad Road and Johnson Road; Item #20 - Resolution R-26-3-407 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving a State Aid Contract with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) for the engineering of the widening of 2.76 miles South Northshore Drive for a cost of $565,745.00, with $554,430.10 (98%) provided by TDOT and $11,314.90 (2%) provided by Knox County; Item #21 - Resolution R-26-3-408 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving a Proposal for Professional Services for Stormwater Manual Development in the amount of $152,420.00 with WSP USA Inc; Item #22 - Resolution R-26-3-501 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving the National Opioid Settlement Agreement with Six Regional Distributors/Dispenser Regional Distributors/Dispenser Defendants (Six Remnant Defendants); Item #29 - Resolution R-26-3-706 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving a revised Memorandum of Understanding with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) for the acceptance of grant funds in the amount of $20,000.00 and $89,580.00 as an in-kind donation for the provision of youth sports activities and programming (no local match required); Item #34 - Resolution R-26-3-904 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving Amendment Four to a Grant Contract with the Tennessee Department of Human Services related to IV-D Magistrate services for the Knox County Juvenile Court, which amendment increases the maximum liability of the State under the Contract by $429,064.02, increases the local match requirement by $221,032.98, and extends the term of the Contract to end June 30, 2027; Item #38 - Resolution R-26-3-104 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, honoring and celebrating the life and legacy of former Knox County Commissioner Diane Jordan; Item #39 - Resolution R-26-3-105 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, honoring the members of the Class of 2026 Junior Commission Civics Education Program upon their program completion; Item #40 - Presentation: Rural Metro; and Item #49 - Proclamation for Day of Hope in Knox County.
