Authorize Development Agreement for Andrew Johnson Building redevelopment

Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, authorizing Knox County to enter into a Development Agreement with BNA Associates, LLC for the redevelopment of the Andrew Johnson Building was before the Board of Commissioners. Mr. Chris Caldwell, Director, Knox County Finance, was present electronically via Zoom streaming and spoke on the matter. Mr. Mark Mamantov, Attorney, Bass, Berry and Sims, was present electronically via Zoom streaming and spoke on the matter. Mr. Matt Meyers, Director, Knox County Procurement, was present electronically via Zoom streaming and spoke on the matter. Mr. Philip Walker, BNA Associates, was present but did not speak. Commissioner Lundy moved to approve R-20-12-801 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, authorizing Knox County to enter into a Development Agreement with BNA Associates, LLC for the redevelopment of the Andrew Johnson Building. Commissioner Ward seconded the motion and upon roll call vote Commissioners Lundy, Durrett, Smith, Ward, Hill, Beeler, Dailey, Jay, and Biggs voted aye. The motion carried 9-1-1-0. Commissioner Schoonmaker voted no. Commissioner Busler abstained from the vote.
