Amend Personnel Plan to add Juneteenth as a holiday (first reading).

Consideration of an Ordinance of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, amending Knox County Code, Chapter 2, Article X entitled “Personnel Plan”, to amend Section 2-756, “Holidays”, to add Juneteenth Independence Day to the list of holidays observed by county employees (amending Ordinance O-16-8-101, adopted September 26, 2016 and Ordinance O-19-3-101, adopted April 22, 2019).

On July 26, 2021, the Knox County, TN Board of Commissioners adopted “Amend Personnel Plan to add Juneteenth as a holiday (first reading).” by a vote of 11–0.

Unanimous Adopted 11-0-0-0

Motion to approve Ordinance O-21-7-101 on first reading.
