Amend Merit System for Sheriff's Office and add Grievance Hearings (first reading).

Consideration of an Ordinance of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, amending Knox County Code, Chapter 42, Article II, Division 2 entitled “Employees’ Merit System” to provide for various amendments to the Merit System for classified employees of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and to add a new Section 42-67 entitled “Grievance Hearings” to define grievances which are subject to a hearing before the Merit System Council (amending Ordinance O-90-9-111, adopted September 10, 1990; Ordinance O-94-10-101, adopted December 1, 1994; Ordinance O-20-7-102, adopted September 28, 2020; and establishing Section 42-67, previously reserved).
