Amend Knox County Code related to building, residential, property, life safety, and fire codes
CONSIDERATION OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMISSION OF KNOX COUNTY, TENNESSEE, TO AMEND THE KNOX COUNTY CODE, CHAPTER 10, ARTICLE I, “IN GENERAL”; ARTICLE II, “2018 INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE (IBC)”, SECTION 10-32, “AMENDMENTS”; ARTICLE III, “2018 INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL CODE (IRC)”, SECTION 10-57, “AMENDMENTS”; ARTICLE V, “2018 INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE (IPMC)”, SECTION 10-92, “AMENDMENTS”; AND CHAPTER 30, ARTICLE III, “2018 LIFE SAFETY CODE (LSC)”, SECTION 30-57, “AMENDMENTS” AND TO REPEAL AND REPLACE CHAPTER 30, ARTICLE II, “2018 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE (IFC)”, SECTION 30-32, “AMENDMENTS”, WITH REVISIONS TO COMPLY WITH TENNESSEE STATE FIRE MARSHAL’S OFFICE STANDARDS (AMENDING ORDINANCE O-18-10-101, ADOPTED NOVEMBER 19, 2018; AND ESTABLISHING SECTION 10-2, PREVIOUSLY RESERVED)

Approve Ordinance O-23-4-101 - Ordinance of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, to amend the Knox County Code, Chapter 10, Article I, “In General”; Article II, “2018 International Building Code (IBC)”, Section 10-32, “Amendments”; Article III, “2018 International Residential Code (IRC)”, Section 10-57, Amendments”; Article V, “2018 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC)”, Section 10-92, “Amendments”; and Chapter 30, Article III, “2018 Life Safety Code (LSC)”, Section 30-57, “Amendments” and to repeal and replace Chapter 30, Article II, “2018 International Fire Code (IFC)”, Section 30-32, “Amendments”, with revisions to comply with Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office standards (amending Ordinance O-18-10-101, adopted November 19, 2018; and establishing Section 10-2, previously reserved) on first reading.
