Amend agenda to defer rezoning requests to June and August meetings.
AMENDMENTS TO THE AGENDA: 2. Commissioner Dailey moved to amend the agenda to defer the following item to the June 2024 meeting: Item #75 - Request of Storm Shular for rezoning from A Agricultural and RB General Residential to PR Planned Residential up to 2 dwelling units per acre, property located at 8922 Pickens Gap Road, Parcel ID 150 044, (9th Commission District), Planning Commission’s file number: 4-V-24-RZ. Also included in the motion was to defer the following items to the August 2024 meeting: Item #66 - Request of Benjamin C. Mullins for rezoning from A Agricultural to PR Planned Residential up to 2 dwelling units per acre, property located at 2600 West Gallaher Ferry Road, Parcel ID 116 020, (6th Commission District), Planning Commission’s file number: 2-E-24-RZ; and Item #76 - Request of William Dale Rhoton for rezoning from A Agricultural to RB General Residential, property located at 611 West Governor John Sevier Highway, Parcel ID 137 144 01, (9th Commission District), Planning Commission’s file number: 4-O-24-RZ. Commissioner Jay seconded the motion and upon roll call vote Commissioners Lundy, Durrett, Oster, Ward, Schoonmaker, Hill, Lee, Beeler, Dailey, Jay and Frazier voted aye. The motion carried 11-0-0-0.
On May 20, 2024, the Knox County, TN Board of Commissioners adopted “Amend agenda to defer rezoning requests to June and August meetings.” by a vote of 11–0.
Move to amend the agenda to defer Item #75 (Shular rezoning) to June 2024 and Items #66 (Mullins rezoning) and #76 (Rhoton rezoning) to August 2024.
