Amend rules to establish responsibilities for Chair and Vice Chair.
Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, amending the Knox County Commission Rules, Rule II by changing the title of Rule II from"Chair" to "Chair and Vice Chair" and by adding a new section D entitled "Responsibilities of the Chair" and a new Section E entitled "Responsibilities of the Vice Chair" to set forth the responsibilities of the Chair and Vice Chair of Commission.

Substitute motion to approve R-21-6-909 – Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, amending the Knox County Commission Rules, Rule II by changing the title of Rule II from "Chair" to "Chair and Vice Chair" and by adding a new Section D entitled "Responsibilities of the Chair" and a new Section E entitled "Responsibilities of the Vice Chair" to set forth the responsibilities of the Chair and Vice Chair of Commission with the following amendment: In Section D. Responsibilities of the Chair: Delete #3 in the last sentence as follows: This also includes the oversight of the Merit System for classified employees of the Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
