AMENDMENTS TO THE AGENDA: 5. Commissioner Smith moved to amend the agenda to withdraw the following items: Item #21- Resolution R-21-3-214 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving an agreement with TriCon, Inc. for the construction of a new northwest sector elementary school at a cost of $23,050,000.00; Item #40 – Resolution R-21-3-903 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, amending the Knox County Commission Rules, Rule I, Section B entitled “Order of Business” to move Item M “Resolutions (Education Consent Calendar and Resolutions not on the Education Consent Calendar)” to follow after Item E “Presentations”; Item #41 – Resolution R-21-3-904 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, amending the Knox County Commission Rules, Rule I, Section B entitled “Order of Business” to reverse the order of Item N “Resolutions (General Government Consent Calendar and Resolutions not on the General Government Consent Calendar)” so that Resolutions not on the General Government Consent Calendar will be heard before the General Government Consent Calendar; and Item #42 – Ordinance O-21-3-101 - Consideration of an Ordinance of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, amending Knox County Code, Chapter 42, Article II, Division 2 entitled “Employees’ Merit System” to provide for various amendments to the Merit System for classified employees of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office (amends Ordinance O-90-9-111, adopted September 10, 1990; Ordinance O-91-8-114, adopted November 25, 1991; Ordinance O-94-10-101, adopted December 1, 1994; Ordinance O-95-4-101, adopted April 24, 1995; Ordinance O-19-1-101, adopted February 25, 2019; and Ordinance O-20-7-102, adopted September 28, 2020). Commissioner Biggs seconded the motion and upon roll call vote Commissioners Lundy, Durrett, Smith, Ward, Schoonmaker, Hill, Busler, Beeler, Dailey, Jay and Biggs voted aye. The motion carried 11-0-0-0.
