On May 12, 2025, the Knox County, TN Board of Commissioners adopted “Rezone 0 Hickory Creek Rd et al. from A to PR” by a vote of 10–0.

Unanimous Adopted 10-0-0-1

Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving the request of Ball Homes LLC for rezoning from A Agricultural to PR Planned Residential up to 3.5 dwelling units per acre with the following conditions: 1) Must access the property from West Gallaher Ferry, widen West Gallaher Ferry Road through the frontage to 20 feet, realign the intersection of Hickory Creek and West Gallaher Ferry Road according to Concept Plan 4-SE-22-C. 2) All offsite road improvements must be completed prior to recording plats at the expense of the applicant and compliant with Engineering and Public Works road standards. This was also in the previous concept plan.
