Emergency ordinance adopting 2018 International Mechanical Code.

An Emergency Ordinance amending Chapter 6, Article IV, §§ 6-81 and 6-82 of the Knoxville City Code, adopting the 2018 edition of the International Mechanical Code, including Appendix A, with amendments as provided in this Ordinance, as the Mechanical Code of the City of Knoxville, regulating the installation of mechanical systems, including alteration, replacement of equipment, appliances, fixtures, and/or appurtenances thereto, including ventilating, heating, cooling, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, incinerators, and other energy-related systems of buildings or structures in the City of Knoxville; providing for the review of plans, inspections, and the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; providing for the licensing of persons engaging in the business of installing, repairing or maintaining said mechanical systems; and providing penalties for the violation of said Mechanical Code.
