Apply for and accept grant for waterway safety and security infrastructure

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute any and all documents necessary to apply for and, if awarded, accept a grant award from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency Office in an amount of up to $1,000,000, with a required 25% local match, to be jointly shared by the Knoxville Police and Fire Departments to purchase equipment and supplies and to fund the cost of training, enhanced emergency communication and cybersecurity to create a hardened infrastructure for the safety and security of local waterways.(Requested by Knoxville Police Department)
