Apply for Bulletproof Vest Partnership grant

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute any and all documents necessary to apply for and accept a grant award from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Patrick Leahy Bulletproof Vest Partnership grant award of $44,800.00 over a two-year period, with a required 50% local match, for a total amount of $89,600.00, to provide funding for the purchase of bullet-resistant vests for Knoxville Law Enforcement Officers.(Requested by Knoxville Police Department)

On June 1, 2021, the City of Knoxville, TN City Council adopted “Apply for Bulletproof Vest Partnership grant” by a vote of 8–0.
