Appropriate $5,000 from Community Empowerment budget for Diversity and Equity awards
An Ordinance appropriating the sum of $5,000.00 from the Community Empowerment budget and donating same to Knoxville Black Doula Collective, The Women LLC, Black Girls Do Bike, Battlefield Farms and Gardens, and Canvas Can Do Miracles in $1,000.00 Diversity and Equity awards for promoting equity and improved quality of life in Knoxville.(Requested by Office of Community Empowerment)
On April 19, 2022, the City of Knoxville, TN City Council adopted “Appropriate $5,000 from Community Empowerment budget for Diversity and Equity awards” by a vote of 8–0.
