Apply for and accept DOJ grant for KPD Forensic Unit

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute any and all documents necessary to apply for and accept the 2022 Law Enforcement Crime Gun Intelligence Center Integration Initiative program grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, in the amount of $700,000.00, with no required local match, for funding of the Knoxville Police Department’s Forensic Unit to enhance gun crime investigations and prosecutions.(Requested by Knoxville Police Department)
