Apply for and accept School Violence Prevention Program Grant

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to apply for and accept a School Violence Prevention Program Grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services in a joint amount not to exceed $500,000.00 for both the City and Knox County Schools, the City's portion not to exceed $175,000.00 with a 25% match not to exceed $43,750.00, to be used for equipment, supplies, speaker fees, travel and training for school violence prevention at Knox County Schools.(Requested by Knoxville Police Department)
