Authorize Mayor to apply for and accept 2024 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute any and all documents necessary to apply jointly with Knox County for the 2024 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant award of $136,946.00 from the U.S. Department of Justice to enhance law enforcement functions through the purchase of equipment, supplies and technology upgrades as well as provide enhanced law enforcement training for the Knoxville Police Department, and if such application is approved, authorizing the Mayor to accept such a grant award.(Requested by Knoxville Police Department)
