Apply for $500K Coverdell Grant for Police Forensic Unit

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute any and all documents necessary to apply for and accept a 2023 Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grant award of $500,000.00 from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance, with no required local match, for funding of the Police Department’s Forensic Unit to pay for salaries, computers, forensic equipment, training, and supplies.(Requested by Knoxville Police Department)
