Remove requirement for City blasting permit

An Ordinance of the Council of the City of Knoxville Amending Sections 11-1 and 11-2 of Chapter 11 of the Knoxville City Code, so as to remove the requirement for individuals to apply for and receive a City blasting permit as the state has sole jurisdiction for issuance of said permits. (Requested by Fire Department)

On August 19, 2025, the City of Knoxville, TN City Council adopted “Remove requirement for City blasting permit” by a vote of 9–0.

Unanimous Adopted 9-0-0-0
