Emergency ordinance to appropriate $100,000 for food insecurity

An Emergency Ordinance of the Council of the City of Knoxville to amend the operating and capital budgets for fiscal year 25/26 in order to appropriate one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) from the general fund’s unassigned fund balance (Fund 100) and to distribute such funds to The United Way of Greater Knoxville to address food insecurity in our city caused by the current Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefit’s crisis.
