Amend procedural rules for filling City Council vacancies.
An Ordinance amending Chapter 7.5 Article II - Rules of Procedure of the Knoxville City Code to add a new section 7.5-87. -Rule 26: Filling vacancies to establish a procedure for filling vacancies in the membership of the City Council and Special Counsel and Advisor to City Council.(Requested by Vice Mayor Pavlis and Councilmember Palmer)
On August 7, 2012, the City of Knoxville, TN City Council adopted “Amend procedural rules for filling City Council vacancies.” by a vote of 8–0.
