Authorize Mayor to apply for FMCSA grant for CMV enforcement
A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute any and all documents necessary to apply for and, if awarded, to accept a grant award of $118,500.00, with a required 20% match of $23,700.00, from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to conduct a highly visible and comprehensive commercial motor vehicle traffic enforcement and safety inspection program.(Requested by Knoxville Police Department)
On September 3, 2013, the City of Knoxville, TN City Council adopted “Authorize Mayor to apply for FMCSA grant for CMV enforcement” by a vote of 9–0.
