A Resolution of the Council of the City of Knoxville requesting that SB 0526 be opposed by members of the Knox County Delegation and the Senate State and Local Government Committee and reaffirming the rights and guarantees provided to the citizens of Knoxville through their adoption of home rule under Article 11, Section 9 of the Constitution and in the rights so enshrined by vote of the people do hereby encourage the members of the State Legislature to continue to acknowledge and support local control over city elections as reserved for the people of the City of Knoxville.(Requested by Vice-Mayor Roberto)
