Pension Board Investment Committee directed divestment from Russian Federation investments
Council Member Fugate reported that the Pension Board Investment Committee has directed its investment advisors to divest from investments in the Russian Federation; the investment advisors estimate this constitutes one percent or less of the pension fund’s investments. The committee has taken this action as a result of the recent Russian invasion of Ukraine. Council Member Fugate cautioned listeners that it may take some time to fully divest the City’s pension fund from investments in Russia.
