Defer resolutions regarding property swap, broadband, and utility poles to December.
2. Commissioner Frazier moved to amend the agenda to defer the following items to the December 2023 meeting: Item #43 – Resolution R-23-11- 802 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving an interlocal agreement between Knox County and the Industrial Development Board related to the Axle Logistics property swap for $1.4 million. The amount in question will be paid through designations and included in the FY'25 Capital Improvement Plan, Item #48 – Ordinance O-23-11-101 - Consideration of an Ordinance of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, amending the Knox County Code, Chapter 14, "Community Development", by adding a new Article III to designate Knox County as a Broadband Ready Community pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 4-3-709. (Knox County Code, Chapter 14, establishing Article III, previously reserved), and Item #50 – Ordinance O-23-11-103 - Consideration of an Ordinance of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, amending the Knox County Code, Chapter 66, "Utilities", by adding a new Article IV to provide for the Removal of Inactive, Broken, or Replaced Utility Poles.
On November 20, 2023, the Knox County, TN Board of Commissioners adopted “Defer resolutions regarding property swap, broadband, and utility poles to December.” by a vote of 11–0.
Motion to amend the agenda to defer the following items to the December 2023 meeting: Item #43, Item #48, Item #50.
